SepSolve: Improved productivity for routine analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-CWG)
Petroleum contamination is a significant concern for both the environment and human health.
In this webinar, our guest speaker, Dr Ken Scally (Suez), will examine the challenges involved in Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon Criteria Working Group (TPH-CWG) analysis and demonstrate the use of GC×GC–FID for thorough characterisation of both aliphatic and aromatic components in a single run, without the need for sample fractionation.
Learning Outcomes
- Hear about the challenges involved in TPH analysis for risk assessors
- Learn the basics of GC×GC and what it offers for analysis of TPH-CWG
- See how labour-intensive, offline sample fractionation can be eliminated, and GC–MS is no longer required for volatile petroleum hydrocarbon (VPH) methods.
- See how reduced sample preparation minimises the risk of error, while automated data-processing avoids operator subjectivity.
