Challenges in Drug Analysis: Using GC-VUV to Elucidate Fentanyl Analogues
PerkinElmer: Challenges in Drug Analysis: Using GC-VUV to Elucidate Fentanyl Analogues
Forensics gas chromatography methods are very broad in scope. There are many matrices to consider and new challenges appearing frequently. This series of talks discusses easy, accurate solutions in overcoming some of these challenges.
The ever-changing chemistry of synthetic drugs of abuse is forcing forensic scientists to consider novel technology when approaching drug identification tasks. This talk will discuss the role of an emergent detector technology being employed in chromatographic systems to increase selectivity for the identification of emerging drug classes. We will focus on fentanyl analogues and positional isomers by GC-VUV that can be difficult to analyze by conventional gas chromatography – mass spectrometry.
