Eric Kemp is a seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience in IT and Analytical Chemistry. He has held diverse roles such as Lab Tech, Analyst, Systems Administrator, Entrepreneur, QA Manager, and IT Manager since 2008. In 2012, Eric founded an IT consulting business specializing in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) re-implementation for Florida markets. Joining Modern Canna in 2018, Eric has contributed expertise to drive innovation and efficiency in both fields. With a unique perspective at the intersection of IT and Analytical Chemistry, Eric brings valuable insights to the cannabis testing industry.
Presenter: Tony McKeown (LIMS Administrator, doTERRA Global)
Tony McKeown, from Cobh, County Cork, Ireland, is a highly accomplished individual with a strong background in IT. He graduated from Munster Technological University with a degree in IT and then embarked on a successful 12-year self-employment journey. In September 2021, Tony joined doTERRA Global, based in Blarney, Co Cork, Ireland, where he played a pivotal role in the organization's digital transformation initiative.
Tony's primary responsibility at doTERRA Global was to identify and implement a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for its onsite laboratories. Leveraging his expertise and knowledge, he successfully sourced and introduced Agilent SLIMS in May 2023, marking a significant milestone in the company's digitalization journey.
Beyond his profession, Tony is an avid sports fan, and has a keen interest in politics and current affairs.
Presenter: Jean-Guillaume Baumann (Senior Product Marketing Manager, Digital Lab, Agilent Technologies, Inc.)
Jean-Guillaume joined Agilent Technologies in 2018 through the acquisition of Genohm as a Business Development Manager. Holding a Master’ degree in Mathematics, he graduated in 2015 from the University of Neuchâtel with a Master’s degree with honors in Mathematics with a specialization in computer science. Passionate about the business side also, he studies for an EMBA at University of Lausanne.

Thomas Schmidt is Marketing Director for Digital Solutions in the Software & Informatics Division at Agilent Technologies. Originally a chemist by training, he conceptualized and managed multiple Laboratory Informatics solutions during his career covering all aspects of the laboratory operation, including workflow management, data management, sample management, instrument control, and laboratory execution systems. Thomas is a passionate ambassador for the Digital Laboratory.
