Webinar 3: Rapid Rinse and Shoot: A screening workflow for pesticides in fruit by GCMS in under six minutes
The Agilent Intuvo 9000 GC System and 5977B GC/MSD system offer a rapid method for screening residual pesticides on fruit surfaces. Using acetone to rinse the surface, the rinsate is injected into the GC/MSD system. The direct heating oven enables a fast analysis (3.4 minutes) with high temperature rates (250 °C/min). Spectral deconvolution, combined with library search algorithms and retention indices, ensures quick and reliable pesticide identification using various spectral libraries. MassHunter Unknowns Analysis software creates reports, completing the workflow in under 6 minutes. The Intuvo Guard Chip and column backflushing improve uptime, making this method ideal for prioritizing samples for further analysis.
