Gain new impactful insights for your analysis with Thermo Scientific GC-Orbitrap MS and Compound Discoverer 3.2 software
Thermo Scientific: Gain new impactful insights for your analysis with Thermo Scientific GC-Orbitrap MS and Compound Discoverer 3.2 software
Thermo Scientific Compound Discoverer software is a comprehensive software for small-molecule analysis that provides an extensive, flexible and customizable toolkit for data processing.
In this session, we will introduce new Thermo Scientific GC-Orbitrap MS workflows, including support for both EI and CI ionization, which will be introduced in the upcoming 3.2 version. This will be the first version of Compound Discoverer software with full support of GC-Orbitrap MS workflows, including using statistical analysis to pinpoint significant differences between samples and identification of unknown compounds via formula elucidation and library search. We will go through each workflow with a demo dataset to show how Compound Discoverer software helps you to achieve high confidence results.
This session includes a presentation, a short expert panel introduction and importantly, time set aside for our experts to respond to your questions in the Q&A.
Presenter: Xin Zheng, PhD. (GC-Orbitrap product specialist, Thermo Fisher Scientific)
Xin received her Ph.D. in Chemistry and a Master of Science degree in Food Science from Rutgers University focusing on small molecule analysis using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry including the development of new drug precursors and nature flavor and fragrances. She joined Thermo Scientific in 2016 as a GC-Orbitrap MS product specialist in the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry group based in Austin, TX. Her current role mainly focuses on testing new products, supporting and training customers, identifying customer needs and providing valuable product feedback to R&D.
Presenter: Jason Cole, PhD. (Sr. product manager, GC-Orbitrap, Thermo Fisher Scientific)
Jason Cole is currently managing the GC/GC-MS product management team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. He has worked for Thermo Fisher Scientific for nineteen years with previous roles supporting applications development and product management of GC-single quadrupoles, triple quadrupoles and Orbitraps.
