Expanding the biomolecular structural analysis capabilities in XlinkX 2.5 for Thermo Scientific Proteome Discoverer 2.5 software
Thermo Scientific: Expanding the biomolecular structural analysis capabilities in XlinkX 2.5 for Thermo Scientific Proteome Discoverer 2.5 software
We will start with an introduction of all aspects of the cross-linking workflow, including specialized acquisition methods for cross-linked peptide ID and an introduction to cross-linking reagents. We will follow with a discussion of the XlinkX software, demonstrating how to translate mass spectrometry data to results relevant for structural biologists.
This session includes a presentation, a short expert panel introduction and importantly, time set aside for our experts to respond to your questions in the Q&A.
Presenter: David Horn, Ph.D. (Product Manager, Proteome Discoverer, Thermo Fisher Scientific)
David Horn is the product manager of the Proteome Discoverer software and has previously managed the Protein Deconvolution and ProSightPC software products. He also has experience as an algorithm developer/software scientist. He earned his Ph.D. at Cornell University in the McLafferty lab developing new acquisition methods and algorithms for top down protein characterization.
Presenter: Rosa Viner, Ph.D. (Sr. Manager, Proteomics Vertical Marketing, Thermo Fisher Scientific)
Dr. Rosa Viner is currently the Senior Manager, Vertical Marketing Omics responsible for structural proteomics at Thermo Fisher Scientific. She joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2004. She is involved in all areas of proteomics research with specific focus on relative quantification, PTM characterization and integrated structural biology workflows.
Presenter: Leigh Foster (Scientist II, Research & Development - Biosciences Division, Thermo Fisher Scientific)
As a Scientist II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Leigh focuses on developing novel products and workflows for the proteomics market in the mass spectrometry reagents group. In 2014, Leigh joined Pierce Biotechnology, now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she has developed protein applications reagents for antibody verification for IP-MS applications, SureQuant Targeted Mass Spec Assay Kits for relative and absolute quantitation, and TMT-pro reagents for 16-plex relative quantitation of proteomic samples. She has also developed multiple applications including phosphoenrichment and fractionation of TMT labeled cell lysates, cross-linked TMT labeled samples for quantitative protein dynamics, cross-linked peptide fractionation and FAIMS acquisition, and cross-linker enrichment and more.
