ModelExpert automates model building by iterating through 192 combinations of preprocessing steps (normalization, baseline correction) and principal component settings. It uses receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and the area under the curve (AUC) metric to rank parameter sets, penalizing combinations with undesirable false positive or negative rates.

ModelExpert presents optimized model parameters in a summary popup after evaluation. Users can generate a detailed PDF report containing ROC curves, validation statistics, and p-values.
